Official renovation work has begun for the ancient Shri Mukhyaprana Devaru Temple at Koluvarayanahalli.

  • New Sanctum (Garbha Gudi) construction.
  • Installation of Dwajasthamba and Nagabhana.
  • Building of a front Mantapa, wall, and stone flooring.
  • Estimated Cost: ₹3 Crores.

Temple Architecture & Significance

Garbha Gudhi (Sanctum Sanctorum)

The innermost chamber housing the sacred idol, designed according to ancient Vastu principles to concentrate divine energy.

Dwajasthamba

The ceremonial flag post symbolizing the divine presence and acting as the cosmic axis connecting earth and heaven.

Nagabhana

A sacred serpent hood structure often placed outside, representing spiritual protection and the innate divine energy (Kundalini).

Mantapa

The pillared hall used for congregational worship, spiritual discourses, and ceremonial gatherings before entering the inner shrine.
